My dad wants to buy me a BMW 318i for my first car. I was wondering if you guys have any personal feedback from it. Is it reliable? Is it safe etc.

P.S. Where I live in Australia they are applying a new law that new drives have to not exceed a certain power to weight ratio or else they cant drive a certain car. The BMW meets that expectation.
