Im looking at buying a BMW 118i but there is an indicator on the dash board. Its a orange Triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle. The Garage say this is the service indicator and the car has been serviced but not by BMW and so couldn't reset the counter. I have seen the service manual and can see it has been serviced. Can anyone advise if this is the service light or something else? I've tried googling with not much luck.

hmmm with my old bmw i was driving along and all of a sudden it just didnt respond to anything it slowed down to about 30km/h and no matter how flat i had my foot to the floor it just made a horrible groan so i pulled over and noticed that triangle with the exclamation in it your talking about, i shut the engine off and restarted about 1min later, then it was gone and i had all the power back, if anything it seemed more powerful i dont know what the hell happended but that indicator came up wen the car was crapping itself, the only thing i can sugest is call up a certified bmw garage and theyl know exactly what it is, good luck
