Hey. I just wanted some motivation. I want a BMW M3 for my first car, or even a BMW 3 series. what is your age? How great are they, and do they burn wholes through our wallets?

I own neither. I have 2001 Mercedes C320. Its better than owning an M or an AMG or a Brabus. At 24 I don't see any reason to own a more expensive car whatever job you have. Not being married and not having any children helps with burning a hole in my pocket.
