I have recently lost oil; the first lot (when I got the car) was very black and carboonised. I changed it and the filter with a flush. A few weeks later the oil started to dissapea again; again very black. Again I have flushed renewed the filter and changed the oil. I have no leaks and the spark plugs are clean, no signs of oil burning. BUT when I remove the oil filler cap, there are a lot of vapours (smells like burnt oil). I suspect something is seazing and burning the oil, but am open for any suggestions!

The engine is the VANOS 6 cylinder type.

Any help would be very gratefully recieved.

try unblocking breather pipes on left hand side of engine, itll probably do it, the oil cant breathe in the engine and burns
