I need help i have a 1990 bmw 525i. From a little knowledge i have known for batteries in this type of vehicle to be in the back under the rear seat like a vw bug. but i have mine under the hood, but when i removed the back seat there still is a place for it. Did the battery get moved? and the battery seems small for a bmw one. please help!!

The Five Series Body also had to make room for the wide V-8 engines. The battery cable to the under-rear-seat location is an expensive project. BMW also wanted to keep the weight distribution front to rear at 50-50 or as near as possible.
