The other day I was driving my car and all of the sudden the speedometer stopped working! The car still runs perfectly fine, it is just the speedometer that is at zero. My ABS light popped on as well. I just do not know what to do and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or knows what might be going on before I take it to an expensive BMW dealer! thanks

1 see if you can get free scan at auto parts store...could be wheel sensor for abs ...may/may not be separate speedo sensor...you need some tests and you cant really know much without them....todays car all computer driven...,,,

Its more than likely the P.S. O. M., Programmable speedometer/Odometer Module.
