maintenance costs? Hi

So, I am looking at getting a BMW328i. its a 2000, with 155,000 miles. It was a commuter's car, driven well and everything seems to work really well.

I know BMW cars are really expensive to repair. What kind of things do you think I would need to be replacing, at this amount of miles? How much will they cost?

Can't I do my own oil changes? I do them for my car, I don't see why they would cost so much money...changing the oil is really easy with all the other cars i've ever owned. Is there some twist to a BMW?

turning off the oil change light requires something from the bmw dealer computer. Other than the oil change light, you can change the oil yourself.
As far as things you can to expect - ball joints (there are like 6 or 8 ? ) and tie rods - which will require alignment. Brakes have to have the brake wear indicator actually made into the brake pad...

Great car I bought mine with 136000 miles on it runs and drives great. On the oil change you just need to find a garage that has the tool to reset your oil change lights as for the cost of the oil change it cost me $95 dollars for a six months oil change using mobile 1 (highly recommended) so for your averagee carthat'ss $47.50 for a 3000 mile oil change. worth it.
