I'm thinking to buy a 2005 BMW 525d. It has 82000 km (51k miles) on the clock and it's sold by a BMW Premium dealer with 1 year warranty. The car looks like new inside and out and the dealer showed me the maintenance records (all the maintenance was done at BMW shops).
What worries me are the kilometers (82000) because my old car, a Rover 45 died at 89000 km.

Yep, i would. BMW although expensive to fix are very reliable. 88% of BMW's ever made are still on the road today... if that makes your choice easier :)
