The car stalled after driving through an automatic carwash. After finding out that the fuel pump wasnt running, I disconnected the battery for a while and when I reconnected it the car would run, but only on the #1 and #3 cyclinders.

You either have water under the distributor cap. Take that off and dry it carefully with a soft cloth on the inside or the wires to the plugs are cracked or loose at the ends. Check condition of plugs while you are at it.

i know your not gonna listen to me but its too old, right now its this problem and next it will be something else, i swear bmw turned there car into a money pit after there so old, i had a 98 740il and i ended up spending over 4,000 on repairs within a year. its not like i did anything bad to the car it just kept breaking down, one thing after another.
CUT YOUR LOSSES. if you can afford it get a new one.
