View Full Version : 95 bmw 318 won't start!!? Kyu K 10-23-2007, 01:28 PM The car was driving and it got died on me. tech told me that it have a spark and fuel. He also checked fuel injector and he told me that It seems to be supplying lots of fuel.We got no idea what will that be..... You have a BMW and shouldn't give you so much troubles John H 10-23-2007, 01:29 PM 4 primary things you need for it to run: spark, fuel, timing (both spark, fuel injection and valve timing) and compression; if the timing belt is older/worn, you may have 'jumped a tooth' or broken the timing belt... I would check for compression next. Assuming the engine was running well before failure; three not so uncommon problems with this motor are worn cylinder walls, head gasket (warped cylinder head) and worn cam lobes.
