Mondeos look and are better in general. They have better resale values, and great crash test ratings. They are also more reliable.

Well I look at as Ford versus BMW. I would take BMW any day. I am 6'3" and around your kids age and don't know too many cars with lots of leg room in the back. To spoil your kids get the Beamer, but to blend in as another American Family, get the Mondeo. The Ford is a new car and bigger, but the BMW has been around for awhile. BMW has 238 hp, and Ford has, well I don't know. In the end, ge the BMW, because Ford's make great rental cars- boring rental cars.
