I just got my 85 735is cooling system fixed, with a new thermostat, hoses, radiator, the water pump and pressure were all good.
But now what it is doing is blowing hot air through the vents. EVEN when the Hearter isnt on...

is it still overheating?

And the air conditioning only works when it wants...itlll blow then stop..could that be the blower motor?

help needed!

The heater problem sounds like a faulty heater vavle. These were prone to failure. And no,this doesn't mean your engine's overheating.Need a bit more info for your air con fault.Does the blower stop and start when the air con isn't used?If yes then the fault could be a faulty heater resistor. If no then a suspect air con compressor could be faulty.Again if u can give a bit more info then pass it on.Thanks and good luck!

No air thru the air vents could be the blower motor. No cooling sometimes might suggest a loose fan belt or a non functional radiator fan. What does your dash temperature gauge indicate? If it shows hot past about the mid point, it probably is too hot. Find out why it doesn't provide A/C cooling by visiting an A/C specialist. Maybe your car needs some refrigerant in the A/C.
