Does anyone know if you can put water in the coolant tank, or does it have to be BMW coolant? I live 2 hours away from the dealer and don't want to drive up there just for this!
I agree I shouldn't have to add already, but the light is coming on now and then, so I just thought I would check before I put something bad in it.....It may just be the sensor is bad..

just buy some regular coolant. why though, if it's an 08 do you have to put coolant in it already, shouldn't be using any coolant this early in it's life
