BMWs 7 series have 100k/6year warranty right? So does that mean if your car ever messes up (like you need a new timing belt, water pump, radiator new brakes, I-dive,etc), will they fix it free of charge for tthe 6 years/100k?

The 02 745's - BMW gave them a 100k warranty since they had a lot of bugs at first. It is the same as a new car warranty. It does not cover wear items such as tires, brakes, belts etc. Those are maintenance items. Some cars have 100k full maintenance. That will cover all but tires. Talk with your dealer, they will tell you everything about your car.

Maintenance items are not covered under manufacturer warranty. 02' BMW 745LI has a timing chain not belt, so you do not need to worry about that. Brakes are considered regular maintenance as well as tune-up items drive belts, etc. You will need to check your warranty as far as A/C compressor, alternator, starter & other parts. Most warranties do not carry these things the full extent of your warranty, all carry powertrain warranty, and this covers transmission & engine.

i know that bmw has that kind of warranty now but did it have the 100k/6 yr warranty in 2002?

if it did, your warranty is gonna expire in 8 months. plus, the warranty wont cover a new timing belt, water pump, radiator new brakes, or I-dive. it'll only cover the transmission and other big problems (which i dont expect from a bmw)

powertrain warranties take care of anything that happens to a car. if the car has a powertrain warranty, then it'll take care of the new timing belt, water pump, radiator new brakes, or I-dive
