Hi, when I test drove this car I found the ride to be fine, but the roads on my route to work are much less smooth and I find the ride quality to be almost sick inducing. What low cost solutions are there, as trading it in is the other option.

Low cost? Check with BMW to find out the differences in suspensions. If you have the sport version, there must be a 'normal' version. The springs on your car are probably stiffer. If you can do the work yourself, the normal springs should cost somewhere around $300. Also, if you have Plus-size tires (17" or 18"), that will cause it to be stiffer The tires have a thinner profile, less flex). But then you would have to swap tires and rims (maybe somewhere around $1000). Maybe you could E-bay the old ones and then see if they have 15" rims for your car. That should soften it some also.
