Is a V8 in this car overkill? I mean, it's such a small car. It's the BMW 3 series only a high performance version of it. Who puts a V8 in a compact car??? Does it get like 12 miles per gallon?

Would this car be physically impossible to do work on without removing the engine first? I'm sure there's ZERO empty space under that little hood with the V8 smashed in.
