How can I remove the old posts from the hood?

/ This is called a roundel. It has 2 posts - one at 9 o'clock, and the other at 3 o'clock.

These posts (attached to the back of the roundel) go into the 2 holes in your hood.

Your posts are now just long plastic tubes, so you can push them through, or grab them with a pair of pliers.

Be sure not to scratch your hood by putting down a washcloth where the tool might rest.

A new roundel costs $25, and just needs to be pushed into the existing holes of your hood.
