I have a bmw 1 series and have had two different xenons kits put on but neither were right. On the first one, one of the lights were brighter then the other. On the 2nd one (M-TEC kit) it blew the capacitors! the car id a 118d diesel. Has anybody had after market ones fitted? I want to know which ones will fit and work correctly.

The cheapest I've seen is from www.dealextreme.com.

Most cheaper aftermarket kits (including these most likely) are from Taiwan. And for some reason, 8000k kits (bluish white) is more expensive than 6500k ("factory" white).

You'd probably be able to find some higher quality kits from well known manufacturers such as Bosch. But they of course will cost more.
