I cant find much info for a 735i in 96, when did bmw stop making the 735i, was it 1992?

they certainly did.

In the USA, 1992 was the last year for the 735i (1993 it became the 740i)

However, in other countries, its possible that a 735i was made in 1996. Keep in mind though, 1992 and 1996 are two different chassis (1992 = E32 1996 = E38)
