i'm about to purhcase a 525i 04 or 06.. what do you guys think about this car? i've heard that its a slow car and the maintence is expensive.. and now im having doubts.. but i just think its sooo sexy, the body is beautiful and it just looks so good driving... what do you guys think? help!

It is very expensive to fix because it is a german luxury car. The performance is average for midsized sedans. An 08 Honda Accord V6 is faster. The BMW 5 series failed the side crash test safety rating. It is not a safe car. If you get hit from the side, you die. I have driven the car many times. The ergonomics are bad. The arm rests, door handles, knobs, and signal switch, and gear shift are in odd positions. The car also makes an annoying beeping sound everytime you do something like starting the car, opening the door, leaving your seatbelt off.

The car drives really nice... and it sounds like you like the car. I would buy it. Maintenance may be a little more then a regular car, but a BMW doesn't need to be repaired as frequently as a regular car
