Right. This goes for anyone that is considering buying a new or used BMW. You can probably afford one right? But the cost of ownership, the maintenance, the servicing, etc. can you and will you be able to afford it. You must, especially when entering this brand, must consider cost.

But if your question has the words 'cheaply maintain a BMW' in it, sorry, you should look at another brand. Because they are made for those that can maintain it. And its a rewarding solid car once properly maintained and service, thats why I love the brand.

So again, you and anyone, if you're concerned about the cost of maintenance, do not buy a BMW.

hahahahahahah man did you smoke something before asked this? "cheap" isn't a part of BMW vocabulary. besides, you should never skimp on your cars, you should always buy the best for them. at least that's what i do.

Thats a great question to ask, if you are looking at a Kia.

Whether or not you can pay cash for the car is irrelevant. Whether or not you can afford to fix the things that go wrong will determine if you can afford the car.

Typical repair costs for this car:

Alternator: $950
Front brake job w/ rotors: $1100
Valvecover gaskets: $900
