the car is a family friends who is a mechanic who owns his own shop he has changed the water pump and other parts i cant name i.e. cylinder something and says that the bottom of the engine is original but the rest is new. so ive known its been worked on i just want to know what important parts to ask about to see if he has worked on them..

anything, everything. if its original to the car then its on borrowed time. if it hasnt been replaced already, it will need to be soon. and Beemers are really expensive to work on.
