...falure? The owners manual and manufacturer says that the auto trans has "lifetime fluid". Ends up that the lifetime is only about 120 to 140 thousand miles before it dies and you have to REPLACE the whole thing! But the people that ignored the manufacturer and DID do trans services AGAINST the manufacturers instructions are having no problems and the transmissions last as long as the legendary BMW name would suggest. What gives? We have to drop a few thousand dollars in disposable transmissions now? What other BMW antics should I expect? I love the drive of the car but am I wrong to think this is ridiculous?
