The 3 series is the most reliable of all the BMW models. Unfortunately your pictures dont indicate, mileage, condition, etc.

It's not the major issues that get you.. It a lot of little ones.

Do you have any mechanical skills or know someone who does? A break job at a dealer will cost $1000. You can do it yourself for about 1/2 the price.

BEFORE you buy anything, take it to a reliable mechanic and have it inspected. There are lots of cars that were underwater a few years ago, being resold today. Has the car been in an accident, stolen and recovered, etc.

Dont let the pretty shine seduce you.

If you edit your question with the mileage and price asked, I can be a little more helpful

I am in need of a new vehicle and have been eye-balling this used 2001 BMW 320i 4DR. As I am aware of the German engineering, and know that they can become very expensive to fix and maintain.

Has anyone had and experience with major issues? Would you purchase one again? I have placed a link below for you to see what I'm referring to. Please send your comments and thoughts...
