I recently purchased BMW 525i ( 95 k 2003) from bmw dealer.
Car is in good shape and runs great.

I put around 2000 k on it each month (drive far for work,all highway,freeway miles).


Now question is:

1.with expired warranty, how to make sure I run it without any problems for 5-6 years and keep it in great shape without spending fortune to maintain it.
2. What routine maintainance should I be doing?
3. are there any major expenses on way that I should be aware of?
4. service engine soon light is on, how often should I do that?
5. is it true that it only requires high performance tires ?

also,

How to keep its paint in good shape? it has few minor scratches on it. is there a way to get its shine back? I heard repainting is not good idea so what r my options there?
